National Apprenticeship Week Day 4
Date: 11 February 2021
Are you looking at different post-16 options? This week is National Apprenticeship Week, showcasing this pathway available to school leavers! An Apprenticeship is the best way to earn whilst you learn, combining a qualification course at JRC with on-the-job training and experience. If you’re considering an Apprenticeship, hear from some of our Apprentices below to inspire you!
We welcomed a few different virtual visitors today, starting with Cigdem Turkan, Education, Training & Employment Manager at Palace for Life Foundation, who spoke to our Sports students, who were intrigued to hear all about the pathways into careers and got some great insight! Our Creative Arts students had an inspiring session with Sarah Perry, Early Careers Lead EMEA at Warner Media. She introduce their Apprenticeship Scheme, commenting "doing an Apprenticeship is a really valuable option." It was so exciting to hear about some of the benefits of their scheme, as well as the range of departments in which they offer work, from Finance to Photo Journalism!
Finally, our Science and Engineering Students enjoyed a talk by Gert Rohrmann, Training & Development Manager from Siemens. He introduced the many opportunities available from entry level to graduate level including Apprenticeships across a wide range of engineering sectors.
