Our first-class teaching staff have excellent subject knowledge and substantial industry experience, supporting students to gain the essential skills they need for the future – whether they are considering university, employment or an Apprenticeship. In Summer 2020 we achieved 99% pass rate on our Level 3 vocational courses with over 80% achieving high grades. We have also featured in the top 25% for value-added, nationally.
2019/20 destination data shows that 95% of all students and 98% of our Level 3 Year 2 students had a positive destination after completing their qualification at John Ruskin College. The majority of our students progressed to university, employment or an Apprenticeship.

We work with external organisations such as Palace for Life Foundation (the charitable arm of Crystal Palace FC), which provides a mentoring programme to students). We also work with Kazzum and Spherea to provide additional value to our ESOL students
The College has been accredited with several awards including the full Matrix National quality kitemark and the Quality in Careers Standard, both relating to the excellent advice and guidance we provide for our students.
We have the prestigious Leaders in Diversity status for our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and in addition, the College has been awarded the Mayor’s Construction Academy (MCA) Quality Mark. The MCA mark identifies and recognises high-quality construction skills training providers around London, and sets a high bar for construction skills training provision.
Students will have the opportunity through our Enrichment programme to broaden their horizons and gain skills, pursue new interests and have fun.
We offer a wide range of sporting activities, as well as the opportunity to train in our fitness gym. There are also numerous clubs and societies that students can get involved in, as well as becoming a student ambassador or a member of the Student Partnership Council.
