Launch of Construction Skills Centre

Launch of Construction Skills Centre

Date: 18 May 2021

We were proud to launch our brand new Construction Skills Centre at John Ruskin College in Croydon yesterday. The milestone event was hosted by Jayne Dickinson, Chief Executive of Orbital South Colleges Group and Kevin Standish, Principal John Ruskin College.

A selection of school representatives from the local area were welcomed for an exclusive first look at our purpose-built facilities. We were also honoured to be joined by Councillor Manju Shahul-Hameed who gave a speech outlining the positive contribution the Construction Skills Centre with its new facilities will make to the community and to the Construction sector, bringing new collaborations.

The Construction Skills Centre enables us to deliver an extended Construction course offer in modern, high-spec surroundings to all areas of the local community. This new addition will complement our existing bespoke workshops and support students whilst they develop their specialist trades.

It was wonderful to be able to share the new facilities in person due to the excellent space the Construction Skills Centre provides!

We are encouraging school leavers to secure their place and get their College applications in now as spaces on these fantastic Construction courses are expected to be quickly taken up.
