Carpentry & Joinery Level 1 Diploma (Full Time)

This Level 1 qualification provides an introduction to carpentry and joinery skills. It allows students to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in carpentry or joinery.

Carpentry & Joinery Level 2 Diploma (Full Time)

After learning the basic skills at Level 1, you can follow one of two routes: Site carpenters will work on building sites erecting and fitting timber. Bench carpenters will manufacture items such as roof trusses and staircases ready to be delivered to the building site to be installed by the site carpenters.

Bricklayer Level 2 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

This Apprenticeship programme will be delivered at East Surrey College, Redhill. For this apprenticeship standard, we provide a day release programme for 2 years. The apprentice will study the skills required for this apprenticeship and will follow a programme of training provided by the City and Guilds which will then lead to the End Point Assessment. There is no longer a technical certificate or NVQ required for this apprenticeship with completion of the End Point Assessment confirming the apprenticeship completion and providing the requirements for the CSCS card.

We can support your company with this apprenticeship. We are an approved organisation to deliver the BTEC Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment (Building services pathway). We also deliver the NVQ in the workplace. These are both recommended qualifications for this Apprenticeship Standard.

Domestic Electrician Level 3 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

Domestic Electricians work in domestic properties such as homes, dwellings, or individual units (care homes, apartment buildings or student accommodation). Domestic Electricians may work for small independent businesses or for providers of homes and residential services such as local authorities and housing associations, construction companies, care homes, utility companies and other companies providing electrotechnical services. This Apprenticeship takes 3 years to complete (2 years day release at college).

Electrical and Eletronic Servicing Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

For this apprenticeship standard we provide a day release programme for 1 year to cover general electrical and Electronic Engineering skills. This qualification is a Level 3 BTEC award in Engineering. This will support the apprentice in understanding fundamental engineering skills. We will then support you with guidance on the training on specific items in the workplace and preparation for the End Point Assessment. Our dedicated apprenticeship team will be happy to discuss this programme with you.

General Welder (Arc Processes) Level 2 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

This Apprenticeship programme will be delivered at East Surrey College, Redhill. Welding apprentices will receive formal tuition in our workshop alongside theory sessions to support their role in the workplace. This new apprenticeship standard requires the apprentices to pass nationally recognised welder assessments which will include destructive and non-destructive tests carried out by qualified inspection personnel.

This Apprenticeship programme will be delivered at East Surrey College, Redhill. Our Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship is suitable for new entrants to the Electrical industry. Modules studied at college include Health, Safety and Environmental Considerations, Electrical Scientific Principles and Technologies, Design and Installation Practices and Procedures, Plan and Oversee Electrical Work Activities, Terminations and Connections of Conductor, Installation Practices and Procedures or Practices and Procedures for Maintenance, Fault Finding, Inspection Testing and Commissioning, Wiring Regulations .
