Health & Social Care Level 2

Health & Social Care Level 2 - Hawa

Former School(s): Norbury Manor Business and Enterprise College

Hawa started in Health & Social Care at school and found it really interesting. She decided she wanted to do it as a career, so took the next step with JRC. She chose to study at John Ruskin College because she felt she could learn about the subject more effectively there rather than at sixth form.

She has loved her course and really enjoyed “being able to work with younger and older generations,” Role-playing activities are great in Hawa’s eyes too, allowing her to get involved in different situations and scenarios she would encounter in the workplace.

Discussing the support at JRC, Hawa explained that if she needs help with anything:

“The teachers are able to support me. They are always open for me to talk to them and discuss any issues I might have,”

For work experience, Hawa has worked with pre-school age children at a nursery. She described working with children of that age as fun and interesting!

Looking to the future, Hawa is looking to study midwifery or paediatric nursing. First, she will progress to Level 3 Health and Social Care with JRC and will then look to progress further.

Hawa really recommends our Open Events, describing them as “a really good way to get information about the course you are interested in and the future goals you can achieve”, so make sure to check when our next event is!
