Why did you decide to study at JRC?

I decided to study at John Ruskin College due to its excellent course options tailored to the care sector and its convenient location for me.

What led you to choosing this course?

I chose this course because of my longstanding interest in the care sector. This was offered to me as an option from the Job Centre, so I took this opportunity. I also have personal experiences with family members needing care.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

The aspect I enjoyed most about my course was the practical hands-on experience it provides, allowing me to apply theory directly to real-world situations.

In addition, it gives me the opportunity to get a job in the care sector.

How are you finding the teaching/support?

I have found the teaching and support at John Ruskin College to be exceptional, with knowledgeable tutor who is always available to help.

Have you done any work experience during this course?

I have completed work experience in a local care home, where I will develop skills in communication, empathy, and teamwork. I’m sure that this experience will greatly influence my knowledge and solidify my career direction.

Have you taken part in events/trips/competitions/exhibitions or had any speakers visit?

I have participated in representative's visit related to the care sector from Strada Care Company, which have provided valuable insights and networking opportunities.

What are your future plans?

In terms of my plans for the future, I would like to be able to continue gaining experience and I hope to be able to build a career in the care sector.

Would you recommend JRC to a future student. If so, why?

Absolutely, I would highly recommend JRC to future students because of its high-quality teaching, supportive environment, and opportunities for personal and professional development.
