Applied Science Level 3 - Shanel

Our student Shanel embarked on an Applied Science Level 3 course with JRC with the ambition of becoming a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. She chose John Ruskin College as it was recommended to her by her family. Shanel then went to one of our Open Events and really liked the feel of the College, so decided to apply.

So far, Shanel has particularly enjoyed the maths elements of her course, as she likes “creating calculations and formulas.” She has also completed work experience at a local pharmacy to learn more about Science & Medicine.

Thinking about what’s next for her, Shanel has received two conditional offers to study the field at University. She is excited to learn more about Science & Medicine and continue to work towards her career as a doctor.
