Sports Trip to Chelsea Stadium
Date: 10 January 2022
Our Sport Level 3 students were fortunate to take an amazing trip to Stamford Bridge Football Stadium, the home of Chelsea Football Club!
Our students were given a guided tour starting with the Chelsea FC Museum informing them of the rich 115-year history and were able to view the exclusive match-worn items from the Men's 1st Team.
Our students were able to see the stadium from the players' point of view in the Home Dressing Rooms and had a mock Q&A session in the Press Room as well. The day was rounded up by our students walking through the Players Tunnel followed by a picture with the UEFA Champions League trophies.
Sport Level 3 student Jeffery said:
"I found this trip inspiring and it was good to be in the type of environment I could work in one day. We were also able to see how the things we learn in the classroom would work at a real sports club.”
JRC Sport Lecturer Rilwan Oluwa commented:
“The trip to the stadium is a great way for students to learn in the stadium environment while covering important elements from their Sport course. They had the chance to fully understand the processes footballers and those behind the scenes go through and learn about the real-life workings of a sports professional in a fun, engaging and educational way.”
