Information for students, parents, carers and guardians

The Prime Minister has announced plans for the gradual reopening of schools from 1 June for certain year groups, dependent on the Government’s assessment of the risk posed by the Coronavirus. This announcement mainly applies to primary schools although the possibility of some face to face support on an exception basis for those students in year 12 who have examinations and assessments in 2020/21, is also mentioned.

Our College staff have continued to offer remote learning and support throughout the lockdown period and this will continue. Therefore, it is important that all students continue to engage in their learning. Colleges are awaiting the result of national consultations on how all vocational qualifications will be awarded. If students encounter any issues or have concerns, they should make their teacher, learning support assistant or Head of Department aware as quickly as possible so they can offer support and reassurance.

We have been busy preparing our College buildings for the eventual return to learning once the Government has assessed that national data evidences it is safe for colleges to do so. We look forward to confirming these plans with you and to welcoming our students back to campus learning.

Further updates will be posted on this website with specific course information provided to students.
