GCSE Exam Dates 2021

GCSE Exam Dates 2021

Date: 17 November 2020

The Department for Education have stated that exams will go ahead in Summer 2021 in England, no matter what the other devolved governments have planned.

The GCSE English and Maths dates are set out below; and the GCSE results day will be Friday 27 August 2021.

GCSE Date   Time

These exam dates are all mandatory, including the Contingency Day.

Attendance - If a student misses an exam, it is highly unlikely they will be able to achieve a grade 4, so it is vital that all students attend each of the exam papers for which they have been registered.

The Contingency Day is in place in case something happens on a national basis that prevents one of the timetabled days from taking place ie major national incident such as terrorism, extreme weather, transport issue.  All students need to be available on this date as well as on their scheduled exam dates in case of this eventuality, as the exam may be rescheduled.  If students/parents have booked holidays and students are therefore unable to attend exams they will be marked absent and get 0 marks for that paper.
