Students at John Ruskin College explored future career and education pathways last week as almost 30 employers, universities and industry professionals gathered at the college’s Careers Fair, held across the Learning Resource Centre and hallways.

Our students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of progression pathways, speaking with representatives from higher education providers and local businesses about the future pathways their courses could lead them to.
Welcoming almost 30 external organisations, gained students valuable insight into their future opportunities. Visitors included representatives from Royal Holloway University of London, Oxford Brookes University, the Ministry of Justice, Bright Horizons, Art-K, Barclays Bank and Surrey Police, alongside many more employers and education providers.

Stalls were filled with prospectuses, information guides and a few goodies to take home. Barclays also brought their mobile banking van, giving students the chance to gain a real insight into what a career in banking could look like. Safe to say there was definitely a bustling atmosphere throughout the college.

Our students were praised for their enthusiasm and engagement. The event was a reminder of just how important events like these are in helping students feel more prepared for their next steps after college and explore how many opportunities are open to them.
A big thank you to all our guests who came in and provided our students with such valuable information as well as our Careers team for all their hard work in planning such a successful event.
