Our modern facilities
In addition to high-quality teaching spaces within each curriculum area, students benefit from a wide range of shared facilities designed to support independent study, collaboration, wellbeing, and enrichment.
Students have access to industry-standard resources including a digital media suite, sports hall, photography studio, and professional Hair, Beauty and Spa salons. The Construction Skills Centre also features specialist workshops for plumbing, painting and decorating, and carpentry.
Atrium Hair & Beauty Spa
The Atrium Hair, Beauty & Spa is a modern training salon open to the public. Located at John Ruskin College, you can book a variety of hair, beauty and spa treatments using salon professional products, all at reduced salon rates.
Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
Studying in the Learning Resource Centre provides students with a safe and engaging environment to work individually or in classes. Students have access to PCs, books, eBooks, newspapers and magazines to support their learning.
LRC staff are available to help with computer issues including accessing key College services, passwords, Microsoft accounts, Learner Hub, eBooks and the College WiFi.
The Immersive Suite
The immersive suite is packed with state-of-the-art technology, Including a media wall, two interactive screens and several VR headsets designed to support students learning and understanding across all subject areas.
Our workshops
Our Construction Suite is a purpose-built space featuring many of our state of the art workshops. These spaces give you a dedicated environment for hands-on learning and the opportunity to develop the practical skills needed for success on your course.
