Shannon joined John Ruskin College on a Level 2 course in Health & Social Care and then successfully progressed to Health & Social Care Level 3. As part of her course, she has undertaken a variety of work placements in a youth club, pharmacy and charity shop, where she developed a variety of skills relating to working with people.

Shannon has participated in several activities outside the classroom. She has been part of the Student Partnership Council and she has taken on the role of Wellbeing Champion, where she has assisted in themed weeks such as Refugee Week and Mental Health Week.

Shannon is intending to progress to a degree in Social Work at London South Bank University after completing her Diploma.
