Through hard work and determination, Holly has developed her skills and has displayed  “excellent practice” when working in her placements. Her teachers have said, “she demonstrated confidence and related well to the staff and children.” Holly has commented, “I have received tremendous support from the ALS department and my tutor, which has enabled me to improve my grades”.

Holly has had the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups throughout her course; in a baby unit, preschool and primary school.

As a result of her work experience, she aspires to follow a career in a primary school or baby unit and has also mentioned doing a teaching assistant course.

In addition to her studies, she has also assisted the department at Open Events for prospective students

Holly achieved Best Learner for the Childcare Department for 2019, which was presented to her at the End of Year Awards Event.
