Department: Health, Care and Early Years

Currently studying: BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Children’s Play, Learning and Development.

I applied to John Ruskin College because… I had heard positive things about the department and the staff. I liked the feel of the learning environment and the interactive nursery room. I liked speaking to the staff members during an Open Event and I felt that I would be supported through my studies. I felt that vocational learning would suit me better than A Levels.

The things I have enjoyed most about the College are… making new friends and becoming a student rep. I have carried out a range of different work experiences and really enjoyed my time in the school where I planned different activities to support children with their Maths and phonics.

On completion of the course I hope to… become a teacher and have been offered a place at Greenwich University studying Primary Education.
