Ashleigh Christie

Sport, 2010 – 2012

My name is Ashleigh Christie and I was a student at the College from 2010 -2012. I achieved BTEC Level 3 Sport (Distinction *).

I have many fond memories of College one of which was me always trying to outsmart my teachers, Catia Alves, Bob Hare and Matt Homewood. We shared a great deal of banter and got on well. I was Student Representative for the 2 years I was at College. We organised a variety of events one of which was a 100m sprint in the central corridor, which got the whole College involved. I also took part in numerous enrichment activities and I represented the College on the Arnhem trip in 2012. At the end of the College year I was invited to the JRC Awards Event where I received an award for Outstanding Contribution.

I am now at St Mary’s University doing a Joint Honours Physical and Sport Education, Health, Exercise and Physical Activity. After graduating I hope to do a PGCE.
