We provide every student with guidance and support but there is also more specialist support available for those that need it:
- Welfare - Learning Support Assistants are available to provide help either in lessons or out eg. with note-taking, welfare or mobility.
- Learning Support - a team of staff provides support to students usually on a one to one basis. Each student has an individual programme agreed.
- Sensory Impairment Service - the College provides individual support from specialist teachers for students with a visual or hearing impairment.
- Educational Psychology - the College contracts Educational Psychologists to produce reports for students, particularly for students requiring concessions from examination boards.
- ESOL - the College provides specialist tutors to support language development.
- Counselling - a confidential counselling service is available to students.
- Resources - specialist equipment is also available e.g. laptop computers, dictaphones, etc.
- Mobility - all courses are fully accessible to students who are wheelchair users. There is disabled parking, lifts, ramping, handrails and adapted toilet facilities.
- Study and Key Skills Support - is available in our Study Skills and IT centres. Staff are available to provide workshops and individual help to develop skills of Communication and Application of Number.
