John Ruskin College leads the way
15th September 2009
John Ruskin College is the only sixth form college in the country to specialise in vocational courses. We are an inclusive college, offering a range of courses to suit everyone.
In recent years John Ruskin College has had amazing success with BTEC qualifications and this year was our best ever with100% achievement on all our BTEC courses. The college was also judged “outstanding” last year for the number of students who progressed onto University.
Staff and students from JRC will be present in Croydon’s Whitgift Centre on Saturday 19th September to talk to interested members of the public about the courses being offered at the college.
A decision has been made to continue enrolling until the end of September as the college has been receiving numerous enquiries each day from students who are still looking for courses this year.
New Principal Tim Eyton-Jones says, “I am really pleased to be joining John Ruskin College at this time of fantastic development. The achievement rates on our vocational courses are outstanding and show that we are developing into a specialist vocational provider that local people will be proud of. I am looking forward to leading this college into further success and help our many young people progress onto the jobs or university courses that they desire”.
