John Ruskin College Gospel Concert
2nd April 2009
On Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th March, parents, staff and students were treated to an uplifting concert by the Anointed Voice Choir, John Ruskin College’s gospel choir. The energy exuding from the rich tones of their voices was utterly infectious and foot tapping moved on to clapping and some couldn’t resist dancing in the aisles. The programme was interspersed with beautiful solos from the pure voice of Marina Ivanova singing Pie Jesu accompanied by Felipe Rojas, and talented flautist Rachael McPherson.
Natalie Walters hosted the event and she has been instrumental in setting up the choir since last September with the strong leadership of Tosin Oluwafemi as choir director that has seen it go from strength to strength.
We would like to extend our thanks to the choir for putting on such fantastic performances, and to all the staff who helped stage these events and to those that came along to support it.
