Golden Boot for Top Scorer at John Ruskin College

John Ruskin College Football Academy has two football teams: one playing for Croydon Athletic and the other in the SESSA league. During the 2007/8 season, the Croydon Athletic team have been participating in the Ryman Youth League which consists of 13 teams including Wimbledon AFC, Staines Town, Tooting and Mitcham United and Leatherhead.
Top goal scorer out of 133 players scoring a total of 17 goals this season was Dan Moody who trains at Croydon Athletic and plays for Barnet Youth Team. Speaking on his achievement Dan said “I’m thrilled as it’s my first season at John Ruskin College’s Football Academy and I’m a year younger than the majority of the players. I am looking to do even better next season.”
Dan was presented with the Ryman Youth League Golden Boot at a Banquet and Ball held at the Copthorne Hotel on Saturday 14th June attended by all the league dignitaries including Club Chairman Alan Turvey and Chairman and Chief Executive of Ryman the Stationers, Theo Paphitis.
