John Ruskin College opens its doors
5th March 2008
John Ruskin College (JRC) is inviting prospective students and their parents to visit the College on Wednesday March 26 for a special ‘open event’.
The College, in Selsdon Park Road, South Croydon, opens its doors from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet and talk to JRC students and staff – and get the ‘inside track’ on college life.
On show will be special exhibitions of students’ work, ranging from JRC’s Care & Early Years courses to Art, Design & Graphics, IT, AS Level Law courses, and BTEC Business & Retail.
There will also be a chance to tour JRC’s facilities, including the new Sports Centre, Science Laboratories, and the Learning Resources Centre, which students agree is one of the best in London.
Plus, there will be lots of entertainment – including dance and drama performances by JRC students, basketball, film-making, and other activities across a wide range of subject areas. You may even get the chance to join in!
The place to be
The event will highlight the fact that JRC is “The place to be” – in which young people can get their all-important future careers sorted out, and with support from experienced and committed staff can realise their true potential.
The College offers a wide range of A Level and vocational courses, in a friendly, safe environment with up-to-date facilities. It is easily accessible by car (free parking for visitors at the college site) or public transport (including the Croydon Tramlink and bus links from East Croydon station).
For more information on the open event, or to request a free information pack, please call the JRC admissions office on 020 8651 1131.
