GE Healthcare and the ESF Project at John Ruskin College linked up to provide an innovative science-based healthcare exhibition on 21st November 2007 from 9.00am - 4.15pm.

This event took place at the College where approximately 380 students attended along with 12 professional clinicians from GE Healthcare who are the largest providers of scanning and diagnostic imaging equipment for hospitals.

The event involved interactive sessions using sophisticated equipment related to health. Simultaneous seminars were in operation to cover the: IT Revolution in healthcare; Early Health Model; GE in Africa Project.

The event brought together College students from Health, Social Care, Early Years, IT and Science programmes and also some pupils from local schools. The day was tailored to support students in their particular subject areas. In addition it enabled them to view a variety of careers relatedProfessional clinician and students at the John Ruskin College healthcare exhibition to the health industry.

This was an exciting opportunity for students to match theoretical concepts with practice in the presence of healthcare specialists. It was also building and developing upon the first exhibition of its kind which was held last year at the same venue.
