John Ruskin College, the first College in the country to have originally achieved the Leaders in Diversity accreditation in 2013, walked away with two prestigious awards from the National Centre for Diversity Grand Awards 2018 (Thursday 18th January) which took place in London.
Michael Gainlall our Chief Operating Officer, won the award for Resources/ Procurement Manager of the Year and the College was also placed at the incredible position of no 3 in the NCFD Top 100 Index 2018 – an index of the top 100 organisations which the National Centre for Diversity works with.
Mohammed Ramzan, Principal & Chief Executive, said, “Michael has been influential in ensuring there has been a high emphasis on equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all aspects of service delivery to the college community. I am delighted that Michael has achieved the recognition he deserves.”

Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity commented on the Awards event, “Wow what an emotional night that was. Just truly amazing as it is every year. There were a few surprises this year and some of the smaller companies held their own against the giants. Well done to Michael for achieving this award ”.
