Entry Requirements for 2017

John Ruskin College puts English and Maths at the heart of its curriculum. As part of the outstanding and individualised support that the College offers, you may be required to sit an initial assessment as part of the interview if you don’t have a previous qualification in English/ Maths. We take your previous achievement to decide your next step/ challenge in English/ Maths. When you join us we use diagnostic assessment of your English and Maths Skills to plan individualised learning for you so that you can succeed in your new challenge. The results of this will be used to determine the appropriate level of course and the correct level of support that each person needs. Don’t worry! The assessment will be short and you do not have to prepare for it. It is all about getting to know you well and planning how to help you achieve each step.
