Our dynamic Business Courses will give you a complete overview of managing a business. You will be introduced to areas in Law, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Entrepreneurship and many more.

Business Courses on offer

  • BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Business

    This course will help develop your knowledge and practical skills within Business settings.

    Areas of study
    This is a one year course, with practical hands on experience in business. The course covers units in a range of subjects including finance for business, promoting a brand, sales and personal selling in business, providing business support, recruitment, selection and employment, principles of customer service and business enterprise. Two of the units will be externally assessed.

    This is an ideal path to prepare you for progressing on to our Level 3 Business Management Course.

    Work experience: This is carried out in a retail setting and is a mandatory part of the course.

  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business Management

    Areas of study
    This is a two year course, equivalent to 3 A Level grades, with practical experience in business. The course covers units in a range of subjects:

    Year 1 – The business environment, business resources, introduction to marketing, business communication, business accounting, management accounting systems, market research in business, recruitment and selection in business, human resource management in business.

    Work experience: This is carried out in a business setting

    Year 2 – Training in the business workplace, managing an event, developing teams in business, managing physical resources in a business, aspects of contract and business law, website design strategy, starting a small business, understanding business ethics, business and the economic environment.

    Employment and Progression Opportunities: Our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business and Management has led students to progress to undergraduate and postgraduate university courses, employment and higher apprenticeships in industry.
