You will have a unique opportunity to be one of the first recruits to the new Specialised Diplomas. You will study a combination of principal learning units such as Sport & Active Leisure as part of a healthy lifestyle, the importance of participation, how the body works as well as the sports Industry and working with customers. On top of this you will develop your ICT, English and Maths skills, complete a project and improve your personal learning and thinking skills. The course also gives you an opportunity to develop a specialism in a certain sports field. The course is different as it is delivered with employer input and you will have the opportunity to be assessed via organised events, employer projects and visits, volunteering opportunities and real vocational practice.
What are the career opportunities open to you if you take this course?
You will be able to move up to the Higher Diploma in Sport & Active Leisure or gain work at the front line service point within the Sports & Active Leisure industry.
