Functional Skills will help develop important skills – like communication, team working, presentation, and problem solving. They are a key to success. They open doors to learning, to life and to work.
Functional English
You will learn and practise English writing, reading, speaking and listening skills that you can use and re-use to enhance your prospects and enable you to achieve your full potential.
Functional Maths
You will learn and practise Maths in practical and realistic situations enabling Maths to function for you. Learners will understand mathematical information, calculate and use data.
Functional ICT
You will learn and practise skills to enable to you to access information on data systems, find useful information on the internet, produce documents for coursework and display information using different formats.
To achieve in Functional Skills you need to complete an examination. You can progress through the levels from Entry Level 1 to Level 2
