What does the course involve?

  • This course covers the key knowledge and practical skills required to work in the television, video and film industries. You will shoot and edit your own videos to meet a range of production briefs.
  • Theoretical concepts are studied and you will write critical analyses of texts you have viewed, as well as researching for and scripting your own material.
  • There is a key focus on group work and professional practice. You will develop technical and production management skills.
  • Industry links are made through visits and guest speakers.

How is the course assessed?

This is an ideal course for you if you prefer coursework to exams. You will be assessed on the quality of your coursework, and overall grades of pass/merit and distinction will be given on the successful completion of your coursework at the end of this two year course.
