What does the course involve?
- This course introduces you to the key knowledge and practical skills required to work in the television, video and film industries. You will plan, shoot and edit your own videos to meet a range of briefs.
- There is a focus on group work and professional practice. You will be introduced to technical and production management skills.
- The course also introduces the way different aspects of the media, such as TV, film and the computer games industry is organised.
- Industry links will be made through visits to media companies.
How is the course assessed?
This is an ideal course for you if you prefer coursework to exams. You will need to be good at organising and record keeping. You will assessed on the quality of your coursework and an overall grade of pass/merit or distinction will be awarded at the end of this one year course.
