What does the course involve?

  • You will develop and refine your skills using application software.
  • You will be using a range of software (e.g internet software, data management software etc).
  • The course is a six-unit qualification for which you will be covering units such as Introduction to Computer Systems, Uses of IT, Information Systems, Introduction to Databases, Communications and Organisations and Graphical User Interfaces.
  • You will be given the opportunity to undertake work experience to further develop your IT skills.

How is the course assessed?

This is an ideal course for you if you prefer coursework to exams. You will be assessed on the quality of your coursework units and an overall grade of pass, merit or distinction will be awarded at the end of this one year course.
