I applied to John Ruskin College because I heard a lot about it and it had very high standards. I wanted to be part of JRC’s success and start my onward journey towards university. I also applied here because the College could meet my needs and support me.
The things I have enjoyed most at John Ruskin College are learning about networks and actually learning how to set one up myself. I also like learning about software, hardware, troubleshooting, installation and upgrade of both hardware and software. I have been provided with additional learning support and opportunities to develop my skills and my knowledge.
On completion of the course I hope to progress to the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma IT Practitioners.

I applied to John Ruskin College because it had the IT course I wanted to do and they were able to offer the support I needed.
The things I have enjoyed most at John Ruskin College are the support from the teachers and I enjoy playing table tennis and using the computers. I have also made lots of new friends.
On completion of the course I hope to go into employment.

The things I have enjoyed most at John Ruskin College are the facilities like the gym, making some good friends and being part of the Careers Academy which has provided me with additional opportunities such as internships.
On completion of the course I hope to go university and continue exploring the business world and other options that may come my way.

I applied to John Ruskin College because I heard about the effectiveness and uniqueness of the College and wanted to be part of it. The things I have enjoyed most at the College are being able to use a variety of facilities, going on trips such as the BBC and also I have to say that the Student Services department is really helpful.
On completion of the course I hope to be attending one of the best universities in the country.

I applied to John Ruskin College because the atmosphere is very friendly and I enjoy learning new things. John Ruskin College was one of the few colleges to offer the course I was interested in.
On completion of the course I hope to secure a work placement in a design company.

I applied to John Ruskin College because it was the closest College to my home and at the first visit the staff were very helpful and welcoming to me.
The things I have enjoyed most about the College are the good teaching and wonderful ESOL department, Student Services and the Library.

The things I have enjoyed most about the College are the support from the teachers, Student Services Department and the food in the canteen. Support has helped make my handwriting neater and has helped me pass my course. It has encouraged me to slow down with my work so it is easier to read.
On completion of the course I hope to get on further in life.

The things I have enjoyed most about the College are the practical sessions, the friends I have made and gaining new skills such as speaking with clients, which has developed my confidence.
On completion of the course I hope to return to the College as a level 3 Hairdressing student.

The things I have enjoyed most about the College are my course, meeting new people and being in a relaxed but busy environment with friendly staff and students.
On completion of the course I hope to progress to Level 3 Hairdressing where I can improve upon the skills I have learnt during this year, before going into industry to do the work I love, because I want to be a professional hairdresser.

I applied to the College because my friend told me that everyone is friendly and supportive of each other. I’ve enjoyed the course and learnt new things and it has made me sure of what I want to do in the future. I’m very pleased that I made the choice to come here.
On completion of the course I hope to progress onto level 3 Beauty Therapy, specialising in make up.

I applied to John Ruskin College because I liked the look of it when I visited. The activities were interesting and it has very good facilities. The things I have enjoyed the most are studying on my Child Care course and being with the other students.

I applied to John Ruskin College as it is small and friendly. It also has a nursery which is helpful for me as I am a mother. I have made lots of progress in my main course as well as ICT, English and Maths.
On completion of Level 1 I want to study Level 2 Health and Social Care. In the future I want a career as a Key Worker, working with young people.

I have enjoyed the BTEC course that I am studying, it is fun and interesting and leads you to higher education. I also like the fact that it is all coursework and therefore no written exams have to be taken.
