The Corporation is the governing body of John Ruskin College responsible for the overall functioning of the College. The Corporation sets the strategic direction of the College and the College management is responsible for, and accountable to, the Corporation for the day to day running of the College.
COMMITTEES - AN OVERVIEW
These Committee assist the Corporation in carrying out its work
Audit Committee
Advises the Corporation on the College’s systems of internal control, risk management and corporate governance.
Search Committee
Reviews governance arrangements and makes recommendations tot eh Corporation on the appointment of governors.
Finance & Personnel Committee
Monitors the financial position of the College, including reviewing the annual estimates of income and expenditure; any significant variations of income and expenditure together with the framework for the pay and conditions of service for staff.
Curriculum & Standards Committee
Advises the Corporation on the development of the College’s curriculum and the standards of student achievement, teaching and learning and of support services in the College.
Remuneration Committee
Advises the Corporation on the remuneration and conditions of service of senior post holders.
Construction & Premises Committee
Convened when necessary to oversee and monitor any capital project that the College may undertake.
